About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Platform Support and Design: Implement and oversee monitoring and ongoing maintenance of systems hardware and software infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Platform Enhancement: Identify areas for enhancement and efficiency improvements, develop automation scripts, and investigate alternative products when necessary to optimize system operations.
- Customer Service: Develop customer service level agreements (SLAs) and proactively seek recommendations on improvements to current SLAs to ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Prioritization: Balance competing priorities to ensure that system resources are utilized in the most effective manner possible, aligning with business objectives.
- Security: Oversee and implement systems security strategies as directed by the Systems Engineering Manager to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training to ensure that other team members are updated with platform and infrastructure changes, supporting our 24x7 operations.
- Vendor Management: Provide clear guidance for systems and software vendors supporting our organization, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
- Supporting Other Teams: Offer support to other IT teams and the company at large, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following essential qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the IT systems engineering field, with at least 5 years of experience working as a Systems Engineer managing and troubleshooting complex Windows/Linux server environments with 100 or more servers.
- 4+ years of experience supporting highly available work environments on a 24x7 basis, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
- Experience in healthcare, particularly in radiology, is highly desirable, as it will enable you to hit the ground running and make a meaningful impact from day one.
