Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate dance lessons for various skill levels, incorporating a range of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop their technical abilities.
- Motivate and inspire young dancers to push beyond their comfort zones and achieve their artistic goals.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during class hours, adhering to our strict safety protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress, upcoming events, and performance opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our dance programs, curriculum, and policies to provide exceptional instruction and support.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience as a dance instructor or in teaching dance to youth, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality dance programs.
- In-depth knowledge of various dance styles and techniques suitable for children aged 5 to 13, with the ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with young students, parents, and guardians.
- Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and learning styles.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a love of dance in young people.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment.
