Field Services Pipeline – 1099 Independent Adjuster (Specialty Lines)

Davies North America is building a pipeline of experienced 1099 Independent Adjusters to support field assignments across a range of specialty and complex claims. This opportunity is ideal for adjusters with strong field investigation skills and a background in large loss, multi-line, liability, marine and cargo, trucking/transportation, and other specialty lines. As a trusted field partner, you will investigate, document, evaluate, and help drive resolution on claims requiring responsive on-site expertise, sound judgment, and high-quality reporting. Assignments may include daily and surge-related claims activity, complex losses, and specialized investigations requiring thorough scene review, stakeholder coordination, and timely file handling. Key Responsibilities We are seeking adjusters with experience in specialty and complex field claims, including one or more of the following:  - Property (Commercial / Large Loss) - Liability (General Liability / Bodily Injury) - Transportation (Commercial Auto / Trucking / Transportation / Marine / Cargo) - Multi-Line - Field Investigations (Scene Investigations / Statements / Witness Interviews) Core Responsibilities - Conduct on-site inspections and field investigations for assigned claims - Evaluate damages, liability, coverage indicators, causation, and exposure within client guidelines - Inspect property, vehicles, equipment, cargo, and accident scenes as applicable - Document findings through photographs, measurements, diagrams, field notes, and statements - Prepare timely, accurate reports, estimates, and recommendations - Coordinate with examiners, clients, vendors, experts, attorneys, insureds, and claimants - Manage files independently while meeting service, documentation, and turnaround standards - Escalate large-loss, coverage, liability, fraud, or other complex issues as needed Ideal Background - Prior experience as a 1099 Independent Adjuster or similar field-based claims professional - Background in specialty lines, complex losses, or investigative fieldwork - Experience handling liability, transportation, marine/cargo, heavy equipment, commercial auto, or multi-line claims - Strong investigative, organizational, and communication skills - Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain high-quality documentation - Proficiency with estimating platforms, claims systems, and standard field reporting tools Skills, knowledge & expertise - Active adjuster license(s) as required for assigned territories - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - Ability to travel within assigned region/territory for field inspections - Strong computer, mobile documentation, and reporting skills - Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Xactimate or other estimating platforms - Existing carrier certifications - Background in CAT, daily claims, or TPA environments You may also send your resume to [email protected] Why Join the Davies Network Why Join the Davies Network Davies continues to expand its claims capabilities across the U.S. and publicly emphasizes broad claims expertise, field support, specialty transportation/cargo solutions, ongoing claim volume, training resources, and a nationwide need for experienced adjusters.
