About the Role: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
We're looking for a talented Registered Nurse - Operating Room to join our team on a 13-week travel assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to promote optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications, perform vital sign checks, and monitor patients' conditions, reporting any concerns or changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain a sterile and organized environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and performance metrics.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Massachusetts or eligible for licensure.
- 2+ years of experience in an operating room setting, with a strong background in patient care and surgical procedures.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
- National and state certification in Operating Room nursing, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a travel or contract capacity, with flexibility to adapt to new environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other digital healthcare systems.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development, with a focus on staying current with best practices and industry trends.
