Job Description:
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal technical role in uncovering insights and driving business results by working closely with the Product and Data Science teams. You will be part of the Data Adventures team, a startup-like environment within Walmart, building top-tier data products to deliver significant, customer-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embrace business data requirements and analyze business systems and processes to identify the most suitable data sources.
- Support the identification and application of statistical methods, aid in the design, planning, and execution of exploratory data analysis research projects.
- Translate business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks, creating specific deliverables and identifying suitable techniques/tools to provide solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to produce relevant graphical representations of data and model results, understanding client requirements to design suitable data visualizations.
What You'll Bring:
- A passion for problem-solving, accompanied by an analytical mindset and data skills.
- Experience working with large datasets, finding insights, and telling stories using data.
- Ability to work with massive data, writing code and queries in SQL, Python/R for data analysis.
- Comprehensive knowledge of database technologies, distributed data stores (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), Big Data, and Cloud technologies like GCP BQ.
- Experience with visualization tools and best practices, such as Looker, PowerBI, etc.
