About the Role
This is a remote opportunity to work on exciting projects that impact our Sam's Club platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be part of a collaborative team that designs, develops, and deploys scalable software solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping our technology strategy and driving our business forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in medium-to-large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, gathering requested data, writing and developing code, conducting unit testing, and delivering status and issues to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and hand-offs, and provide input on project design to project directors.
- Drive the work of smaller groups of engineers, including offshore partners, by providing relevant documentation, guidance, and examples, identifying short and long-term solutions and timelines, evaluating and providing feedback to proposed solutions, and performing design and code reviews of changes.
- Investigate business and production issues by gathering data, collaborating with support teams to aid in the resolution of issues, forming an action plan, performing actions as assigned in the plan, interpreting the results to determine further action, and performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences of issues.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proficiency in Java programming language.
- Experience in mobile application development.
- Working knowledge of container and cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:
- Knowledge of .NET programming language.
- Experience developing or working with Cloud technologies, such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OpenStack.
- Familiarity with CI/Cd or GitOps frameworks.
