Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Prior Authorization Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the necessary care and treatments. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Submitting and tracking prior authorization requests via inbound and outbound calls, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Verifying patients' medical insurance eligibility and coverage, staying up-to-date with changing insurance policies and regulations.
• Communicating effectively with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any issues and ensure compliance.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of approvals and denials, providing insights to improve the prior authorization process.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• At least 1 year of experience in medical benefits (prior authorization, insurance verification, or related field).
