Key Responsibilities
As a Ship Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, coordinating, and managing the activities of up to 30 personnel in radar operations and maintenance, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Performing mission/track planning and operating dual S and X Band radar systems, with a high level of technical expertise.
- Conducting radar data analysis to enhance system performance, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Developing engineering documentation and system operation procedures, with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
- Serving as the Senior Company Representative to the government customer onboard the ship, with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of six years of experience with radar or digital signal processing equipment, with a strong technical background.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing analog and digital circuitry, with a high level of problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Linux-based operating systems, specifically IBM's AIX OS, with a strong understanding of operating system principles.
- An active DoD SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain higher clearances if necessary.
- The ability to comprehend and edit electronic schematic drawings and documentation, with a high level of technical accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out in this role, you will ideally have:
- Knowledge of embedded software design and PLC background, with a strong understanding of software development principles.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment, including logic and spectrum analyzers, with a high level of technical expertise.
- One year of Linux operating system experience, with a strong understanding of operating system principles.
- Military Quality Assurance training and experience, with a focus on quality and reliability.
- A Top Secret Clearance, or eligibility to obtain, with a high level of security clearance.
