American Mortgage Investment Partners Management, LLC (“AMIP”) is an alternative asset manager specializing in distressed mortgage and other real estate assets. AMIP is a SEC Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) managing private investment funds for institutional investors.
The Valuations Specialist will play a critical important role in our bidding and due diligence process, helping us to effectively determine the value of the subject properties being considered. As a member of the valuations team you will have an opportunity to apply your skills, knowledge, and experience in order to render an appropriate opinion of the relative worth of real estate.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform full valuation of single family homes
• Provide a probable sales price opinion for the subject property while adjusting for condition, location, and other unique characteristics
• Review BPOs, inspections, and use valuation software to determine probable value
• Summarize repairs and other factors that impact the subject property
• Perform ad hoc duties in support of the Valuations Department
Requirements & Qualifications
• 3+ years in valuation experience as an appraiser, real estate investor or in some other capacity
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new programs relating to our valuations process
· Possess a sense of urgency and a meticulous attention to detail
· Excellent problem solving, analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Experience using Red Bell/Homegenius software is a plus but not required
· Appraiser’s license is a plus but not required
