About the Team
The Engagement product group at Mural helps members create a personalized space for collaboration through content discovery and management, and improving our customer's journey into and through the Mural experience. Our Dashboard team within the Engagement group is responsible for delivering critical portions of the product, such as the Home experience, browsing or navigating through our content, improving the information architecture, and more. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our team and guide the engineering efforts to deliver exceptional software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead a high-performing remote team of software engineers and provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to help them grow to their potential.
- Product Roadmap: Partner closely with Product Management peers to build and deliver on a team roadmap that leads to a more personalized user experience for our members throughout Mural.
- Design Partnership: Work with Design partners to innovate and create a delightful user experience that entices members to come back.
- Project Success: Ensure the success of software projects through the planning and execution phases within and across your team and broader engineering groups.
- Team Development: Build and develop a diverse and capable team via hiring, coaching, and mentoring engineers.
- Feedback and Growth: Provide both positive and constructive feedback regularly to help engineers grow to their potential.

Essential Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience directly managing high-performing software engineering teams as an Engineering Manager.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience managing past teams that have delivered using modern agile methodologies, shipping high-quality and reliable software in regular, iterative releases.
- Team Leadership: A strong track record of attracting, developing, and advancing great engineers.
- Cloud-Native Software: Experience with teams that have delivered cloud-native software, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Remote Management: Experience successfully managing people from other countries, cultures, and timezones and are comfortable working and managing 100% remotely.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Growth and Personalization: Experience with growth, personalization, recommendation engines, or related spaces like machine learning.
- Technical Skills: Experience managing engineers who have developed in Node.JS, React, and TypeScript stacks.
