We're seeking tutors who embody these qualities and characteristics:
- Reliable and Mature: Demonstrates responsibility, showing up prepared and on time.
- Recent College Graduate, Graduate Student, or Former Educator: Either pursuing or having completed higher education, and still exploring career options.
- Previous Tutoring Experience: Has a proven track record of helping students succeed academically.
- Outgoing and Likable Personality: Builds rapport easily with students, making learning engaging and enjoyable.
- Teachable and Adaptable: Open to feedback, eager to learn new methods, and willing to grow as an educator.
- Strong Communicator: Clearly explains complex concepts and ensures student understanding.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with online platforms and tools needed for remote tutoring.
- Passionate About Education: Committed to making a positive impact on students' academic journeys.
Requirements
- Availability: Must be available some evenings as well as at least one weekend day.
- Tutoring Commitment: Must be able to tutor at least 15 hours per week.
- SAT/ACT Baseline Requirement: Must take an official SAT/ACT Math test and meet minimum score requirements.
- Experience: Prior teaching experience is required.
