Role Overview
As a Pharmacy Technician Lead Representative at The Cigna Group, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting our team of pharmacy technicians. This position requires advanced knowledge and the ability to work under limited supervision, advising your team on complex tasks such as taking MD clarifications, processing new verbal prescriptions, and managing related activities. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the daily workflow within the pharmacy, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Lead team huddles, providing initial coaching and direction to pharmacy technicians, and assist the Technician Supervisor with various quality initiatives such as INCRs and DPMO.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts, supporting the staffing of pharmacy tech functions as outlined in the Pharmacy Technician job description.
- Train new employees and identify ongoing training needs for tenured staff who may require retraining, ensuring that our team is always equipped with the latest knowledge and skills.
- Conduct quality and productivity audits as assigned by the supervisor, and create and modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and engaging role within the pharmacy team.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of relevant pharmacy experience is recommended but not required.
- A valid Pharmacy Technician license / certification / registration as required by state laws.
- Computer savvy ability in MS Office with strong Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, with the ability to handle high-stress situations.
- Problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability, with strong time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
