Job Overview
We're looking for a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to work with students across Pennsylvania in a fully remote setting. This is a full-time position that spans the entire 2024-2025 school year, offering a unique chance to be part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of education. As a Special Education Teacher with Workwarp, you'll have the autonomy to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to the diverse needs of our students, all while collaborating with parents, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and Implementing IEPs: Create and execute tailored educational plans that address the unique needs and goals of students with special needs, ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania state regulations and standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with students, parents, and fellow educators to provide comprehensive support, share progress, and align teaching strategies with student needs.
- Remote Teaching and Technology: Leverage cutting-edge educational technology and remote learning platforms to deliver high-quality instruction, engage students, and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Progress Monitoring and Assessment: Continuously assess student progress, adjust teaching methods as necessary, and report on student performance to ensure that educational goals are being met.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in special education, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to the development of our virtual education programs.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification: Hold a current and valid Special Education certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- Experience in Special Education: Have a proven track record of teaching students with special needs, with a deep understanding of diverse learning requirements and strategies for supporting students with various abilities.
