Job Title: Early Years Teacher - $3,000 Sign-on Bonus (Remote Opportunity)

Join Our Team as an Early Years Teacher and Make a Difference in the Lives of Children! We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Teacher to join our team at Lutheran Services Florida. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, while making a positive impact on the lives of pre-school aged children or infants/toddlers in our Head Start/Early Head Start Program.

As an Early Years Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities, assessing children's developmental needs, and developing individual education plans. You will also communicate with parents, maintain a safe and healthy environment, and ensure that lessons align with the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement daily lesson plans for pre-school aged children or infants/toddlers
• Assess children's developmental needs and develop individual education plans
• Communicate with parents through conferences, written correspondence, and telephone
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including conducting health checks and ensuring compliance with safety procedures
• Align lessons with the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards and conduct Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten assessments

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Two years of experience teaching Head Start, Early Head Start, pre-school, or kindergarten age children
• Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area
• Working knowledge of brain development, child development, and developmentally appropriate practices
• Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of others, and to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
