Job Summary
As a Middle School Enrichment Teacher at KIPP New Jersey, you'll play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Key Responsibilities
- Create, internalize, modify, and prepare lesson plans in accordance with academic curriculum, working closely with the grade level team to ensure seamless integration.
- Use data to inform instruction and responsively teach to mastery of academic skills, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of our students.
- Foster a supportive learning environment by working closely with students, families, and colleagues to promote student progress and achievement.
- Reinforce a firm foundation for all classes, upholding classroom management techniques that promote a positive and productive learning environment.
- Participate in diagnostic and progress monitoring testing across the school, using data to inform instruction and drive student growth.
- Monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to ensure all students meet learning objectives and achieve their full potential.
- Update student performance trackers, using data to guide lesson plans and inform instruction.
- Engage with the school community by participating in school, departmental, and parent meetings, as well as school events, activities, and programs.
Essential Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, with official transcripts showing degree conferred required prior to the starting date of employment.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 if graduation date is after 2016, or a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 if degree conferred before 2016.
- Appropriate state teaching certification completed or in process of being completed, demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence.
- Subject matter expertise in one of the following areas: Music, Foreign Language, Dance, Theatre, or Physical Education.
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience, with a demonstrated interest in working with students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
- A track record of success in the classroom, with a collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning.

- A record of exceptional student achievement and results at a high-performing charter network or charter management organization.
