As a Teacher Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure that our students receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and Preparation: Assist teachers in planning and maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment, and help prepare materials and supplies for activities and assignments.
• Professional Responsibility: Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events, and serve on committees to contribute to the organization.
• Class Environment: Assist with discipline, provide extra support to students with special needs, and help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Instruction: Provide RTI instructional support, assist children individually or in small groups, and help reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
• Student Support: Provide students with assistive devices and supportive technology as needed, and carry out therapeutic regimens under the supervision of special education instructors.
• Assessment and Feedback: Observe student performance, record relevant data, and provide feedback regarding academic and behavioral assessments.
• Additional Responsibilities: Assist with tasks outside the classroom, including bathroom needs, unloading and loading busses, hallway supervision, and lunchroom duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about education, dedicated to supporting student success, and committed to making a positive difference in their community. To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• A Paraprofessional License
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Experience working with students (not required, but beneficial)
• A genuine nurturing and caring attitude towards children
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student information

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:

• Experience working in an educational setting
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices
• Ability to work with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
