As a Senior Manager - Insider Threat, you will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and remediating cyber threats from internal sources, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities: Leading the Insider Threat Mission

As a Senior Manager - Insider Threat, you will be responsible for overseeing the Insider Threat mission, leading a team of Senior Analysts and Analysts to track incidents, determine when forensic evidence is needed, and drive root cause analysis, remediation, and prevention of future incidents. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the planning, scheduling, and daily supervision of the Insider Threat team to ensure effective incident response and remediation.
• Aligning the protections of the organization to industry standards such as NIST, Mitre Att&ck, and governance to meet U.S. Department of Defense requirements for Insider Threat mitigation.
• Driving excellence and timeliness of response and remediation activities, making recommendations to fill gaps with personnel, training, or process changes.
• Serving as a liaison for government reporting requirements, partners, and vendors to stay proactive in developing the latest defenses for United.
• Developing a world-class cyber Insider Threat team through leadership strategies that harmonize corporate and employee objectives.
• Engaging with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and assessing/adapting existing operational programs to ensure ongoing success.
• Identifying opportunities to operationalize existing security investments and recommending new technologies to fill gaps in our defenses.
• Defining and developing metrics to track the maturity, evolution, and health of the cybersecurity program over time.
• Effectively communicating and mitigating risk and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Making decisions on containment of networked information system assets and driving rapid response to analyze root cause and remediation.

Qualifications: What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need to meet our minimum qualifications, which include:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience, with prior Insider Threat experience leading/building a team in a large organization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Skills in conducting and concluding investigations initiated from cyber defense detection sources.
• The ability to conduct successful investigations with partners from legal, human resources, governmental, and third-party resources.
• The ability to gather, analyze, and distribute timely and accurate reports to leadership.
• Being legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

While meeting the minimum qualifications is essential, having the preferred qualifications will help you stand out from the pack. These include:

• A Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GCFA.
• 2+ years of experience as a people leader.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity and investigations.
• Familiarity with airline business systems and processes.
• The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
